Obituary for Kenneth V Lee

Kenneth V. Lee, age 74, Middlesboro, Kentucky passed away Monday, December 12, 2016 with his family by his side. Mr. Lee was born July 15, 1942, in Colmer, Kentucky, to the late Willie and Pauline (Hayes) Lee. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lovetta and Clifford Wilson; and one infant brother.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gloria Jean (Wilson) Lee whom he married on October 31, 1965 at Old Yellow Creek Baptist Church and daughter, Joy (Richard) Taylor of Middlesboro, KY; one grandson, Travis Fannon of Middlesboro, KY; one sister, Betty Sue Patrick of Manchester, Ohio; one brother, Larry Lee (Linda Renfro) of Middlesboro, KY and several nieces and nephews.

He was a member of Old Yellow Creek Baptist Church for over 50 years. He proudly served in the National Guard and was a 38 year member of the Pinnacle Lodge 661 where he was a 32nd Degree Mason.

Funeral service will be 3 p.m., Friday, December 16, 2016 at Shumate Funeral Home Chapel with Richard Taylor and Rev. Jeff Greene officiating. Music will be provided by Alva Cunningham and Dennis Howard. Pallbearers will be William Campbell, Todd Lee, Jacob Lee, Chuck Ely, and Mike Standifer. Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Peace, Phillip Standifer, Dr. Richard Lee, and members of the Men's Bible Class of Old Yellow Creek Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Green Hills Mausoleum. Masonic Rites will be conducted. The family will receive friends 2 to 3 p.m., Friday, December 16, 2016 at Shumate Funeral Home Chapel.
